Liquid Ca/Mgo is suitable for crops requiring calcium (tomatoes, apples, cherries, etc.) as it helps to prevent certain normal abnormalities such as “end rot” in tomatoes, peppers and “bitter pit” in apples.

General Fertigation dosage: 10 – 30L / hectare.

General Foliar dosage: 1 – 4L / 1000L of water.

Apples

Fertigation

2-5 applications in total / growth period. 1st application at the carp stage 15 – 20 lt / ha of water and repeated applications at 20 – 30 lt / ha water to prevent the appearance of ‘bitter pit’.

Foliar applications

1 – 3 lt / 1000 lt of water, at the same times as above

Cherry

Foliar applications

Apply 2 – 3 lt / 1000 lt of water at the beginning of the colour change to prevent cracking.

Vegetables (tomato, pepper, cucumber)

Fertigation

10 – 30 lt / ha from the first fruit set and in repeated applications. The smaller doses are used in greenhouses.

Foliar applications

2 – 3 lt / 1000 lt of water from the first fruit set and in repeated applications with the same dosage

Watermelon

Fertigation

20 – 30 lt / ha from the first fruit set and in repeated applications. The smaller doses are used in greenhouses.

Foliar applications

2 – 4 lt / 1000 lt of water from the first fruit set and in repeated applications with the same dosage

DESCRIPTION

Liquid Ca/MgO is a liquid calcium-magnesium fertiliser that also contains a small amount of nitrogen. It is suitable for all crops and can be applied via foliar applications as well as fertiliser applications. Liquid Ca/MgO is important for the development of the root system, the division and elongation of cells, the stability of cell walls, the prevention of certain normal abnormalities (‘dry peak’ in vegetables, ‘bitter’ in apples, etc.) and the regulation of potassium and magnesium uptake due to the Ca it contains. Magnesium also plays an important role in regulating photosynthesis and achieving the desired qualitative properties (formation of sugars, pigments, etc.).

Liquid Ca/MgO also has the advantage that it can be applied at late harvest stages as its nitrogen content is very low, which protects the fruit from softening or delaying its ripening. When Liquid Ca/MgO is applied to alkaline soils together with nitrogen fertilisers, its specific synthesis leads to a significant reduction in nitrogen losses in the form of ammonia.
